Default Oil Dipstick replacement?

My oil dipstick tube has been broken on my motor. There is still part of the tube in the motor. Where does the tube insert into the motor? And where can I find a replacement tube. I have a 94 mustang convertible v6 3.8

holy crap that has go to suck bad.
Maybe you could use one of those little pen looking things that extract and have the magnet on the end to get it out?
But you could prolly get another dipstick from a junk yard.

you will have to find the location by feel. I did. Jack the car up, go underneath from the front near the driver's side wheel. The part of the block that sticks out a little where the tube enters is just a little to the rear of the engine mount, or maybe close to the mount. You can't see it, but you can get a couple of fingers there to it.

Uhh, do this with the engine cool.

If the other people's ideas are not working for you, and if you ahve stick left in the block, you might try this: loosen the nut that's holding the tube down (on the exh mani, its the only thing holding the tubedown in place). Slide the tube up enough to clear the block and so you can get your fingers on the remaining stick, then work it all out together.
