H/C means heads/cams. I'm not an expert, but 50whp is A LOT for heads and cam.
HC can also mean High Compression usualy people get H/C/I heads cam intake

Ok well i drove it around for a while today and it is kind of growing on me. It sounds pretty good above 2500 so i just have to start getting the revs higher when i drive. When its in low rpms it just sounds like a really low pitched droneing tone that just doesnt change. Im planning on going catless to actually try to get some rasp and free it up a little, then it should sound pretty good. After that if i still dont like it ill switch out mufflers.

John- i thought you were coming to the hooters show tonight you could have heard it.

Im installing a true dual bassani setupsat. I hope it doesnt sound like ****. They sounded pretty nice every other timeIve heard them, not to loud, just right. I had to go with a pypes X pipe though cuc im to lazy to go to the shop and have the mid pipe made. They usually rip me off anyway.

GT/Cobra take-off mufflers... Louder than stock, but they don't have such a propensity for the "V6 rasp".

That's the biggest bull****. He has a cam by the way.
He has a cam?!? Who would have guessed? He really shouldhave put that info in the video...[&:]

Oh, and the cam obviously would change the idle and such, but the mufflers still move the air in the same way, resulting in a similar effect, sound-wise.

ORIGINAL: WhitePony02

The guy doesn't know what he's talking about either...
Oh, really?

ORIGINAL: WhitePony02

"Nope... no bore, stroke, anything. Stock 3.8 longblock w/ ported heads, better valvesprings, and the cam. That's it engine-wise."

3.8 is a shortblock.
Huh? "The 3.8 is a shortblock"? You clearly don't know what a shortblock and a longblock are if you say "the 3.8 is a shortblock." The 3.8 is not inherently either.

" Before the H/C, I made 170whp. After the dynotune from Justin @ VMP, the car made 220whp. So... I gained 50whp."

H/C means heads/cams. I'm not an expert, but 50whp is A LOT for heads and cam.
You're right... you're not an expert. I've seen the dynosheets from both before and after.
Picking a fight?

As for the cam, it changes the idle and overall sound a lot. This guy is asking if he could get quieter mufflers for cheap, because he doesn't want to spend a lot. You're proposing Cobra mufflers with a cam to improve his sound. But that's not what he's asking. Give anyone on here with duals an aggresive enough cam and their sound will improve.

As for the short and long block thing, I was told a 4.6L is just a shortblock..so I quickly said that 3.8L is a shortblock as well. I didn't even think about the fact that a short block is just the block and pistons, and the long block is the whole engine. So you got me there, congrats.

And show us the dyno sheets. Because I haven't heard of anyone gaining 50rwhp for tune, ported heads and a cam.
