Default need help on 7.5 t-lok (lsd)

hello all. just recently got my 4.10s. I was planning on getting a ford racing or factory t-lok. my question is this. Can I use an older factory one from ranger, bronco, 4x4 etc? if so, which all years fit 99-04? also, I plan on getting an install kit, does that basically rebuild the bearings in the rear end? if so, then milage on the used unit wouldn't be an issue right? thanks.

Yes u can use one from ranger or bronco because they had 7.5 rear ends, its really hard to find one that wasnt abused but good luck. Motive bearing kit is recommended when installing gears and the t-lok!

The install kit has bearings, seals, races and a crush sleeve for setting pinion depth. I would highly recommend you have a shop do this install. It's a job for pros with the right tools and know how. used gears might be OK but I wouldn't bother with a used t-lock. It cost too much to install it and if it's no good you'll just have to pay to get it done again so save some money and start with a new t-lock.

Default thanks, but u didn't answer my questions

I really need to know. does any year 7.5 factory t-lok fit? and more importantly, does the master install kit replace all the internals? Essentially rebuilding it and nullifying the milage? or does it just replace some parts and leaves the chassis milage in-tact? thanks.

As far as I know any 7.5" internals will interchange and yes the install kit will replace everything except the gears and t-lock so if you leave the used gears in (or put in used gears) they still have miles on them and a used t-lock will have wear on it too. You will also need some gear oil (get synthetic) and a bottle of friction modifier (if the oil doesn't have it already).
