RE: Cat's

I got it done about a week ago yes it is much louder but not super loud or anything I do believe it gave me some top end on my car it may have took a little a way from the bottum end but not enough to really matter.....I would suggest doing it.

I would suggest doing it as well. I would recommend you doing it AFTER your car is inspected (depending on state laws)..

Thanks alot for the respones, really thinking about it, lol always for a louder sound on a v6. I was also wondering, did you guys do it yourselves without any problems? Hmmmm, I am definately going to be doing it soon. Just need the time lol. Thanks alot, right now i got true duels run straight back to cherry bomb's. Believe it or not it sounds pretty good, it's that low rumble that i want to work on, it has a little bit right now...unless i just ****in throw in a blower off a cobra, it sounds alright ill post a sound clip once i do one.

Thanks alot

you should be fine but to do it right you should really have them replaced with pipe, i have a custom set up with no cats goin into flows and i love it and so does everyone else. people can always hear me before they see me

RE: Cat's

If you are going to "gut" the cats it will sound like crap! Since you have to remove them to do it why not just replace them with straight pipe? It'll sound a lot better.

RE: Cat's

why dont you just get some high flow cats to replace the ones you have... I dont really like the sound of cherry bombs... its to ricey i think not enough engine roar.... but i think the high flow cats are the way to go i love the sound of mine with dual flowmasters... just a suggestion

RE: Cat's

yeah no problem, they actually sound pretty good, but yeah there is a ricey tone to it. I was just wondering because i have 4 o2 sensors, if i just take it out and put a straight pipe in, wont that **** over codes, and make my car run like a bag???

If thats true then screw that lol

but if it does nothing then im going to definately remove em and put a straight pipe in!!!

RE: Cat's

DO NOT GUT YOUR CATS!!!! REMOVE THEM! When you gut them this just causesthe gasses to build up inside the housing. This is bad and will reduce overall power. Gutting cats=BAD Removing cats=Good!
