Default Exhaust leak

I seem to have some poping through my exhaust. What else would cause this besides an exhaust leak. My idle also has a small miss which i believe is due to this anyone else have any problems like this? Hopefully a simple fix.

if it is a 2000, odds are it is not "bone stock" as most new stang owners do "something" to it.....

most of the major chain exhaust places ie MiDAS will do an exhaust inspection for free.... might be a gasket or hole in a pipe... it is 5 years old, after all...

Can you think of anything else that might cause that poping besides a leak?

the only other way would be a misfire in your ignition system which would allow raw fuel to be blown down the ehuast pipe

More then likely, this is your prob. Exhaust leak wouldn't cause a mis fire. New cap, rotor, wires, plugs and air filter. Plus run an injector cleaner through the tank. In my opinion, when you do a good tune up, always use better/high performance stuff. EI: K&N air filter or a new cold air intake here >>> http://www.v6mustangstuff.com/engine2.htm and high performance 9mm wires here >>> http://www.v6mustangstuff.com/engine.htm etc. etc.
Bottom line, tune up time. <<<I'm a poet.

NGK is good. I always buy Bosch
As far as oil capasity, it's 5 quarts with a new oil filter.

I have a 2000 V6 mustang. I would do the wires and plugs first. The rotor/cap combo is non existent as they use a coil pack. I've found that the #4 plug and wire (passenger side closest to radiator) seems to be problematic on our cars. That wire is the longest and that cylinder gets the hottest because of it's location. I've got 85,000 miles on mine and have replaced that plug wire once and plug twice (40 and 80K). Once the dealer did it, the second time I did it. Both time were because of a miss. Both times, it fixed it. It's a hassle to get to because you have to remove the air intake hose assembly in order to have enough room to remove and replace it.

The stock plugs are motorcraft Dual Platinum..same as Autolites dual platinum although you can use whatever brand plugs you want.
