Default Gauge cluster transplant..? Possible or not?

OK people.. I've had the craving to transplant a gauge cluster from a V8, Mach 1, or some other "quiker" stang into my lil' V6... My mechanic seems to think its possible due to the fact that Stang's (as well as most fords for that matter) use a speed sensor and something? I dunno know.. Some other technical mechanic jumbo of words... But anywho... Anyone know the facts and/or wether they have tried and failed/surpassed? Can it be done? I dunno? You tell me... |pe@ce|

Default RE: Gauge cluster transplant..? Possible or not?

We'll ive heard that you cant put a V8 cluster (gt, mach 1, saleen, etc.) in a V6 cuz the needles will be off and it wont give you an accurate reading. I know if you have a GT you can put a mach 1 cluster in it tho cuz my friend did it to his.... BUt im not 100% sure if you can, i have heard of some people trying but it messed up their speedometer readings..
