I dunno, I thought my example was fairly detailed.
Very detailed indeed, but if you're rich then go all out and ditch your standard Mustang construction and go all out by using a full carbon fibe body, ditching unnecessary items, stiffing up the entire frame with carbon fiber, and adding in lightweight components where ever possible. Granted your construction will resemble a Ferrari more than a Ford, but you'll be light as hell, get better MPG, and be a lot faster.
lol

i saw in an import racer some tuner company constructed a car's body pieces of 100 percent carbon faiber. thing weighed in at under 2000 lbs, it was pretty sick. cant imagine what it would cost though...

funny, when i was part of the turbo four banger crowd, weight was a HUGE issue...so were small mods, to squeeze ever lil hp out of your engine possible. seems in the mustang world, cubes and blowers rule, and people dont worry about it so much. just very different.

that being said, i love my mustang.

Yeah...
I've got lots of buddies from back home who r part of the tuner crowd...
One of em's a CRX fanatic...
He's got it completely stripped...
Weighs about 1800 lbs...
And it's pushin prolly 200 somethin + horses...
Quick as hell...
But it's not turbo'dand not enough engine for my tastes...

lol
(Course I drive a V6 so i really don't have much room to talk... lol)

CF Mustang parts can be purchased from www.tiger-racing.com Just remember, it's priced for the hard core racermarket - not the ricer crowd.

this reminds me of an old sporhttp://myspace-722.vo.llnwd.net/00571/22/77/571057722_l.jpg compact car i read, a few years ago when i had my old turbo four. this ricer kid wanted to make his car faster but didnt have any money, lol..., so he "lent" his car (I wanna say it was like, a 90's nissan maxima or altima?) to the writers/editors/monkeywrenchers at Sport Compact Car his ride to see what they could do to make it faster, but with no cash.....
I remember that. "12 Second Sentra" or something was the article. When it was done, itwas a motor and floor pan with a seat and steering wheel, but it ran 12s.

I did a quick search for the article. It was a 14 second car.... I was thinking 12. Oops. Links have been taken down and I can't find it on SSC's website. I was back in Jan of 04 I posted on V6M.com about it: http://www.v6mustang.com/forums/view...f=3&t=3861

Edit: Found pics!!!!!
