Hey guys,

My brother has a 2005 4.0L Mustang. It has a dual straight back exhaust, no crossover, a CAI and a throtte body spacer on it. I got him an SCT for it because the CAI he has gave him a check engine light - which from the shops I have talked to and other people isn;t all that uncommon.

After we put the tune ono, and were trying it out, another light came on. It is a little wrench. I looked in the manual and it is the electronic throttle contorl light and said the car was in limp-home mode. This happened the first two or three times we ran the car, and hasn't happened since. I am worried there may be something deeper though. Has anyone heard of this? What could be the cause? WHat should I look into?

start withb the TB spacer.... aluminum is worth $.46 a pound[8D]

haha! i might make 23 cents out of the deal. i know those are very very iffy, but its not my car, u know! anyways, it still hasnt happened again, maybe the computer just needed to figure everything out?

The fly-by-wire throttle position sensor tends to cause "less-experienced" tuners a good bit of headache. I had the same problem when I put a Vortech on my ex-gf's F150. Constant detonation and the guy just couldn't do it, and he was a very good tuner, just not with the fly-by-wire yet.

well i know the guy is a good tuner for mustangs. he's done tons of them and he did tune my explorer when i had one. i dont know what happened. it still hasnt come back on, so maybe it was just a little thing. think thers any need to worry?
