Default too much for spark plug change?

I need to change my spark plugs and I really don't have the time to do it myself so i decided to take it somewhere.

This place down the street from me said theyll charge me $200 for 2.5 hours of labor (I already have the wires and plugs). Which is $80 an hour. Seems a little pricey to me, i'm guessing it will take them 2-2.5 hours.

I have a 6 cyl also. Anybody else think this estimate is high?

way too high shouldnt take more than an hour, if i was you i would definitely do it myself even if it meant setting a light up at night to do it thats a waste of money

Our shop charges 40$ an hour for most jobs, even including more custom work like specialty exhaust. 80$ is high, especially since its a simple job.

My driver side bank was very easy to get to, but I had to remove the intake hose to get down to the plugs on the passenger bank.

i thought that was kind of high. i've checked to see what i had to work with and the drive side plugs are easier to get out, except for the back one, but it looks like i'll have to take out my CAI on the passenger side.

I can change 6 spark plugs in 15min, that includes removing the intake tube for the vortech with the long tubes in the way. What I'm saying is go do it youself so you get better at working on your car and never have to pay somebody else.

A 6cyl should take you no more then 30 - 45 mins to change the plugs. make the time and do it yourself.

i did it for the very first time by my self just make sure your engine is cool. I couldnt do one side of it then i fiddled around w/ my body and found a way to get into it. Those back ones were the ones that gave me ****. Try coming at it from the front and lean over, thats how i did mine for the back driver side. Passenger side was the easiest for me, but need the cai tube to be gone
