Some early 99/00 GT cars got the 16" Pony wheels (also known as V6 wheels), while most got the 17" known as "Starfish" wheels.
Sounds like somone is slapping "Special Edition" on used wheels they are trying to sell.

Yes, those are "Star" or "Starfish" style.

Some base GTs came with the "tribar" or "Pony" style that most think of a V6 wheels in 99-00. (NOte those are far different than the 4 lug 5 spoked "Pony" wheels the fox cars had. Most GTs got the 17" like posted. When the Bullitt came out, the following year GT started getting those, and the "Star" or "Starfish" 17" became the base model wheel or a V6 upgrade from the dealer.

Yes, the "Starfish" are some of the lightest stock OE 17's @ 17-19lb per wheel.

Also, there WERE some "special edition" "Starfish" that came on the "Spring Edition" 99-00 cars that were "machined" to a polished look.

It's a crappy picture, but here's an example...

It's hard to tell in this pic, but the "Spring Specials" also got special matte-black hood stripes.
