Default look at this

this happened a few weeks ago, i was driving on 495(3 lane highway on long island) at 65 mph and my driver side rear tires just blew ... there was good tread on all the tires when i got the car but it looks like it dry rotted from the inside

that is crazy. ive never seen that

i had a tire blow going 85 down the highway but it was apparently from over inflating my tire, i dont know how much i believe that reason though.

All tires bear a Department of Transportation number hidden on the inner wheel wall. At the end of the number is a four-digit sequence that shows the week and year the tire was made. Tires with the notation 3502 were made in the 35th week of 2002.
im about to go check my tires now.

hm the blowout had the number 402 .. so 40th week of 1992 f'n 16 years old!!
