H or Y pipe?
hey,
i am looking for a dual exhaust and was talking to a guy who said that if i put a H pipe on my 05 V6 then it will make me lose HP, or if it does not lose HP he said it will at least be a little slower off the start then a Y pipe. i currentley have a trufiber ram air hood and i was planning on getting a C&L air intake, 70mm BBK throttle body and headers. will these be enough for me to be able to maintain the HP or should i stick to the Y pipe. he said that i should get the y pipe as well because nobody will every find out its a y pipe unless they get under my car. so whats ur input guys?

i always get rid of the y and completely go true duel w/ no mid pipe or even with the x or h. just really depends on your sound preference. i kno that no mid pipe can be slightly louder x raspy, h deeper- my preference. And you wont lose any hp as vovo said you will lose back pressure but keep w/ your stock pipes and should be even
