Default 02 won't turn over

My 2002 mustang has had problems starting, thought it was the battery but I would try and jump it and nothing. Later on it would start up and give me no problems for awile. But now it won't start and someone told me it might be the choke sensor. If anyone knows I would greatly appreciate the help.

A choke assembly is only on a carbuerted engine. Your fuel injection system uses an Idle Air Control, Throttle Body, and Throttle sensor.

Does the problem come up when the engine is cold, hot, or whenever? Does it at least turn over and just won't catch, a click and nothing, or just nothing?

My neighbor had a VERY similar problem with his 03 GT. The engine would turn over but the car wouldn't run. turned out to be the control module for the anti-theft system. GOOD LUCK![sm=gears.gif][sm=gears.gif][sm=signs003.gif]

a problem that has come up sometimes is the shifter if its an auto isnt all the way in park and that can cause it to not work, or there is a setting on the cars anti-theft that if you dont use the remote to unlock the car you cant turn it over and sometimes if you lock the doors b4 you start the car the car wont start either. all things that can happen with the diff setting for the anti-theft

How old is the battery? Some times if youre battery has a cell that is no good it will not allow the engine to crank. Did you have power to youre dome light or dash lights or anything like that? I would try to get a multi meter reader on youre battery, that would tell you the first guess. then I would work on from their like starter / ingition / etc.

Good Luck dude

Is your car not making any noise mine did that also all you have to do is turn your wheel all the way to the left get a hammer and easily find the starter selonoid and tap it as somebody turns the ignition switch, and once u have it started drive it straight to a body shop and have them just throw in a new starter. Mine did it 3 times the third time i had to use my crutch to give it a wack. Sometimes when the starter turns it gets into a spot when it begins to go bad and just wont get outa it until u tap it. When u go to turn ur ignition on does it go to start and then stall and just click after it shuts off?
