Does anyone kno the parts needed and the steps to just remove the valve? I've had the filter on it for about 1.5 years now.. It worked great after I seafoamed it. However, It gets a little redundant changing the filter every 1000 miles. Once the filter is saturated, its completely useless. I'm a college student so i don't have much time to work on my car everyday like i did in high school. I'm thinking deleting the whole thing will be best for me. thanks for your help!!

also check the exhaust manifolds on 99+ cars. they like to crack and can cause ticking sounds also. easy fix is use 94-98 headers and use high temp silicon hose and 2 hose clamps to mate the EGR bung to the 99+ EGR tube.

or buy a set of 99+ shorties aftermarket

When does the ticking sound occur? When I'm just cruisin at like 40-45 mph in 4th gear at low RPM I hear ticking coming from the engine. Does anyone know what this is? Or is it just how the engine sounds?

BTW I have an automatic.

probably spark knock as at that speed in 4th the engine is lugging alittle and that when spark knock will usually occur. do you have updated valvecovers?? if not that is probably causing it

Nope I probably do not... I've had the car for almost two years so I'm guessing no one ever gave it new valve covers.
