Keep in mind that new isolaters, especially poly ones will take a lil away from the drop you may be looking for. Honestly, if the old ones are ok, I would leave them alone and save the money.
New struts and shocks. I put mine on yesterday and can't shut up about them. I drove on the stock ones for 3 or 4 months and they were pretty terrible.
Yeah, they are steedas, but I would think any lowering springs would put an excessive load on the stockers. However now I'm having trouble with the struts and shocks so we'll see how this plays out.
really? the stock shocks/struts were terrible with eibach pros? i figured it would be okay. how was it terrible?
I did my springs (eibach pro kit v6 spec), used poly. isolators all around and kept my stock shocks/struts. It was beyond horrible. So, I re-did(<-is that a word??) the job and bought new monroe shocks/struts. Still horrible. Bought '03 cobra bilsteins used and re-dided(<- def. not a word!!!! FTW!) the job a 3rd time. I can out-handle a go-kart. It's sick. So, do yourself a favor, don't keep the stockers. Get proper lowering shocks/struts for the application and get some steeda x-2 ball joints installed. No good lowering job should be done without them. You don't need c/c plates or offset bolts at a drop of 2" or less.
