auto with 4:10's Help!!!!!

last week i got my 4:10's and my posi trac installed in my automatic ,i really like them but ,is it ok that now the car takes forever to top out ? i have not gone over 90mph yet. Is it suppost to be doing that ? or do i need to retune my shift Points? cause i raced my friend and he has an automatic integra with a muffler tip and intake and i only beat him by 2 car lengths does that sound about right or should i have beatin him by more with these gears?

Your not to be getting on your gears and t-lok for at least 300 miles.....It will shift in to over drive yes but you will still go up in speed just dont be rompin on it you will tear your new gears up

and my bad i was all meesed up on the weeks i actually got the gears installed on march 6 so it was about two weeks ago. and i didnt start pushing on the gears till last weekend and i drive my car ALOT!! so i think i got the 300 miles in a week i set my trip od , and i just got done messing with the car a few mins ago and i lowered the shift points first to 5400 and then to 5200 RPMS and i felt like it lost its acceleration so i changed it back to 5500 and ran it again and i felt the acceleration come back but i dont understand why its hard to shift into 4th and it goes past the shift point like i said it wont go past 90MPH and the over dive is off when im doing it

May be a blown fuse or an issue with the tranny if it's doing that, a gear swap will not cause that problem.

No need to readjust the shift points, all gears do is allow you to get to the next gear quicker than stock, so adjusting your shift points can hurt performance if it was set at the optimal level before.

RUN the car at full pedal WITH overdrive ON.YOU will go past 90! Overdrive will still pull harder then before trust me.....If you cant get it up then you prolly got tranny problems
