I have a 2000 v6, so it's not the same as the 05, appearance wise and performance wise (the 05's are a bit faster) but I love my v6. I would ask some of the guys in the 05 forums if you're looking at an 05 specifically-- they tend to not come out here too much.

A v6 is a great mustang to start with, and they have a TON of potential.

my uncle visited 2 months or so ago and rented a 05 sixer, he liked it, said it was fast enough and was tight in handling, great look, great brakes, big blind spot front drivers side near mirror, we also tested a GT 05 and it didnt seem much faster then the six and seemed less sturdy on the highway. he used to race cars and has a decent collection, so i value his opinion.... if you change your mind about 05 you can pic up a 99 - 04 pretty cheap i had a 2000 and loved it. o yeah 05's they were both automatic

it didnt seem all that faster, but i can say i drove the six by myself and the GT was driven by my uncle with my friend and i in the car as well. passenger seat it didnt seem that much faster although i know it is. whats the times for an auto GT like mid 14's and auto six close to 16?

yea, which makes the gt much much faster. plus it is pushing out 300hp and 320 lb./ft tq compared to the v6's 210hp and 240 lb./ft tq.

run both in a time trial in the conditions you were in with the same driver 3x and avg the times. i guarantee you no matter what conditions, the 05gt will smoke the hell out of an 05 v6.

I already said that i know the GT is faster and stock for stock running down a strip or where ever the GT will wiin. I drove a six by myself making the total weight being around 3500 and the GT with another 400 lbs on top of my 160 making that weigh about 4060 lbs.... do you see what im getting at here. i know that this site isnt all that accurate but http://www.fantasycars.com/derek/qua...it=Get+Results
i put both weights and powers in and the GT was 9 tenths quicker, just about a second, and once again with myself being in the passenger seat in the GT and the drivers seat in the six i couldnt tell that much of a difference. yes the GT was faster but it wasnt like holy crap thats a lot faster.
