Default wiring color identification?

Hello all. I think I remember seeing/hearing about a guide or write up someone had done to identify all the wiring in sn95/new edge mustangs. I can't seem to find it now though. I'm looking to do some power mods and would like to use some of the extra wiring laying around and just tap into it as opposed to cutting, splicing, and tapping the fuse box every time. thanks in advance.

We really need to know what you're looking at rewiring. Also, while the Haynes manual is good, it's not always 100% accurate due to the differances in years, engines, etc. Example it was dead on for my 95, but a little off for my 00 concerning the stereo. Diagram was right, colors were off.

well, first thing is adding a compass/temp mirror which needs a switchable source. then thinking about a glove box LED. I was thinking about using the wiring for my trac control because it is non-functioning due to me removing the ring.

The wires for the compass/temp are most likely already there, or tucked in the a-pillar, otherwise just find a switched 12v power wire to tap and you're all set. An LED in the glovebox? why, how often do you need to dig through there at night to where lighting is an issue?

Nope. the only existing wiring is visor/mirror lights which is full on all the time. I need switched so not to run the battery down ya know?? As gloveboxes are concerned, mine is a dark one....
