Default Rear Rotor Replacement

Is it as simple as unbolting the caliper and unbolting the old one and bolting everthing back up??

Why would you need to replace the rear rotors, it's the fronts that go bad. The rears are a third of the braking power, takes a long time to wear pads in the rear, let alone warp or scar the rotors.

My rears burnt up waaaaay faster than my fronts, my fronts have lasted over 40k miles and aren't even half way worn. The rear calipers tend to freeze up and burn the rear brakes up, so go get some new calipers. You'll also need the tool to turn and press the piston in.

You have to remove the bracket that holds the caliper on too. Remember to take some high temp grease to the sliding pins everytime you disassemble the caliper from the bracket as well.

if you want to break it. You have to rotate the piston while pressing it in.

If you are obsessive like me, you might as well tape the rotors off and paint them silver/gray with some high temp bbq grill paint so they won't rust and look ugly.

Depending how long the have been on there, you may need a hammer to persuade them to come off.
