I'm at around 126k with some horrible abuse, and doing good. Pulled the heads to inspect everything and no issues, was actually suprised at how clean the internals were.

ive got a 2004 mustang with the 3.9L and i havent had any problems with mine til recently, i drive 170 miles round trip to work 6 days a week, so i can beleive mbabbit is telling the truth, great engines!

i believe it, my 00' has 170k with no probs anywhere and still feels fine. my bro had a 96 f150 (302 v8) and he put 300,000 miles on it, rebuilt the tranny (auto) around 250k. sold it to his buddy and he wrecked it at 310k miles or something. he was talking about pulling the motor to put it in something else too.

Pssstt, my 2000 V6 is at 250K and still going strong.

I just stumbled into this thread and read through. WOW... im in awe lol. This is sweet, but Im with this ^^^. Not saying it isn't possible but its kinda hard to believe. Now if there was a Benz or BWM, i wouldn't even give it a 2nd glance.
