what is this hose? im in the middle of doing a split port swap and this hose is in the way of the upper intake manifold connecting to the lower. im guessing i need one from a 99-04 v6

im talking about the metal hose going straight down the middle.

Um...not to sound like a total dick but if you dont know what you're doing then maybe you shouldn't be taking your engine apart.

its a heater core tube. I broke mine when i pulled my engine out. if you follow it back it will go to the firewall where it connects to another tube, there are two tubes there, I would spray wd40 on it cuz its a B***h to get out.

Yep, it runs to the heatercore behind the passanger side of the dash. It's used to cirulate coolant. If you break it, you can run a high temp soft line in it's place. Much cheaper to do that buy that part from Ford.

Yeah, just cut it at both ends, remove the solid pipe and replace with a soft line. That's what i did. i'll try to post up some pics later today.

u may need to go to a junkyard and pull the egr tube from a split port there and also discount auto or auto zone will have the hose just go to the desk and tell them how much and what size.
