Replacing brakes-Mustang v-6, 2003
Hi every body. I am new to the Forum and I am siking help to install brakes, front and rear, on my v-6cylinder Ford Mustang 2003. Appreciate all the help I can get

Its pretty simple. Take your wheels off. unbolt the calipers. take out the old brake pads. use a c clamp to compress the pistons. put in new brake pads. slide caliper back over. if it doesnt fit continue to compress the pistons with a c clamp using the old brake pad to distribute even pressure on the pistons. make sure you put anti squeal on the back on the brake pads as well. then bolt it all back up. backs you need some tool i think i havent done the rears before.

yeah there is a special tool for the rear calipers, you should be able to find it at a parts store or something. basically it goes on a ratchet and you turn it so it backs back in

Thank you guys...TurtleSlow and Shaunmac9128 for your responses. I have found something tthat will help all of you, like myself, is doing this job for the very firs time....look at this video. Yes you need a special tool to compress the calipers...check it out....

Check your pm's as well.

Are you looking to change the entire system (calipers, rotor, pad and lines), or just the pads? The front brake pads are prety self-explanitory, just do what Shaunmac said and you'll be fine.

Don't waste money on a special tool for the rears. Use needlenose pliers to twist the piston back into the caliper. I've done it dozens of times. When you have it apart, you'll see what I mean.
