Ive had both Diablo and SCT.
SCT surprised me when I didnt have to go read a book for a few hours while it uploaded! XD

Both do a job, but SCT does it faster.

x100. 100% truth. Changing tunes with the diablo was an afternoon affair (maybe exaggerated a lil, but not much). SCT was done in about half the time.

If you have a performance vehicle 91 tune is the only way to go. Keeping detonation away is key. And yes SCT > Diablo

I never understand people who buy performance mods past the basic cold air intake/exhaust/udp (heads/cams/intakes/superchargers) and then complain about .15 cents more a gallon.

Well....

Get the mother tuned for E85 and upgrade your fuel system.

105 ocatane ftw!

E85 is between 40 cents to sometimes a dollar cheaper than 91/93.

Again I refer to Maize Mach in a past MM&FF issue.

Of course that is a 10.65:1 CR 4V but still.

Those gains in power and slightly in fuel economy surprised me.

The way I look at it, $3 a week is a couple of candy bars. I put 91 in my vehicles. If I have to stretch my dollars I go with 89. I never put less than 89 in my tank. None of my vehicles like it. And trust me they have definitely let me know.

Well, if you have a 91 tune, wouldn't putting 89 in it cause it to knock?

Negative, detonation doesn't knock, it pings, BIG difference.

At the moment I have stock programing in everything. That will be changing as soon as I get my truck converted to the mustang OBD2 wiring and computer. Then I will be getting an SCT programmer.

why not just go for a 93 tune. i have one sitting in my sct, havent had a chance to use it yet but im planing on trying it out next week. SUNCO tells a great 93 octane fuel.

+1 stay away from cheap gas no matter what octane u choose. stay with gas stations that carry the big name.
