Rear end made a loud pop...

And now my car is pulling to the left a little bit, and it has wheel hop when I'm turning to the right. When I turn to the left, I hear the same loud pop. What the hell is that? It's a T-Lok with 4.10s

Guess now is the time to try and convince the parents to co sign on a loan for a GT... anyone want anything from a cammed sixxer? hahaha

Fink 06-24-2010 12:55 PM

I want UD pulley if your engine is externally balanced.

Synyster06Gates 06-24-2010 01:04 PM

It is. and if this actually happens, haha it comes with belt, water pump pulley and crank pulley/harmonic balancer

EDIT: Driving on bad/broken spider gears is a no no right? hahaha I need to get to work...

Fink 06-24-2010 01:14 PM

I would say that it is a bad thing.

I had a buddy that knocked off all but 3 teeth on his ring gear. He drove it around.

Synyster06Gates 06-24-2010 01:15 PM

Oh wow haha. I want to fix this now... aha

brent4 06-24-2010 03:23 PM

Driving with broken spider gears is a no no.

Fix it before you cause more damage.

I want the cam and windstar upper lol

could also be a control arm bushing. when i had a solid rear in my car i had the steel sleve break loose from the rubber and clunk and make al kinda noise. first check the bushings the n pull the cover . spider gears are a walk in the park to replace .

Synyster06Gates 06-25-2010 10:57 PM

Taking it apart to look tomorrow! do I have to pull the differential to replace spider gears?
