Default Ran Outta Gas,Now running bad

I ran out of gas on the way to a gas station and now my stang runs like crap.It Idles rough, smokes, and runs very rich. It went thru 20 bucks worth of gas overnight, and only drove to school and back...about 30 miles. I'm 16 and this is my first car. It was running fine before this happened. My dad has changed the fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator and computer out of a parts car we have with no luck. Code scanner says O2 sensors are bad....what did I do to my baby and how do I fix it?

running out of gas tends to screw up the fuel injectors, might want to check that out

If you have bad O2 sensors, your computer is messing up your mixture based on incorrect readings. That (combined with injector issues) will kill your fuel economy.

Put your original computer back in. Randomly swapping computers will cause serious emissions issues. You most likely sucked a bunch of trash into your pump, but it should have been caught by the fuel filter, which you've changed, which is good. I'd get a fuel pressure gauge and make sure you're getting sufficient pressure. Also check your plugs, they may have fouled.

The parts car is another 94 with a 3.8 and a 5 speed, thats why we swapped computers ,to see if mine was the problem. Are they calibrated to each vehicle?

Next on the list is to check the plugs and coil pack...definately learned the hard way to keep a closer eye on the gas gauge...

I can line up several mustangs of the same year with all the same options and the computers will all have a different emissions code. The emissions code is calibrated to all of your sensors, mainly MAF, O2 sensors, etc.
