Removing door hinge pin

Wouldn't it have been easier to just take the door off , remove the hinge and do the work on a bench?

These doors are heavy. Stripped of everything, including glass, they are still around 50lbs

Define easier? Doing it the way I did it means you can possibly avoid having to realign the door when your done. If you completely remove the hinge you’ll have to do a complete door realignment. Door realignment is a PITA.

Yeah, they aren’t light. I had the window & regulator out of the door and it was still fairly heavy.
