Screamin Demon Coil and Wires/Plugs
I was planning on purchasing a Screamin Demon ignition coil in the spring along with some new spark plug wires and spark plugs. I was thinking about getting Taylor's Spiro Pro 8mm Wires and e3 spark plugs.
Any thoughts opinions or advice on any of this? Would the Accel ignition coil be better or different wires or plugs?
Thanks

Accel is cheaper than buying a Motorcraft one in case you NEED one.
The Livewires are the only thing that I would buy from Performance Distributors (The people that make the coil your are interested in.)

Thats correct, the coil is a waste of money at this point in your build unless you NEED to replace yours in which Accel is cheaper and does the same thing.
I prefer Accel myself as I have used other products from them in the past and they have always lasted me a long time with continued performance.
Their LiveWires are a very well built spark plug wire, those are worth buying.

btw, you can pick up a Motorcraft coil from rockauto.com for $85-$92 depending on which coil came stock in your ride. From what I heard, Kragen/O'Rielly's autoparts stores are now carrying Motorcraft parts. Don't know if they have coils, or at what price though.
While they may be well built, they won't give you any performance gains over any other wires (with or without a stock coil). Way overpriced, in my opinion.

The Accel coil caused my car to misfire. A lot of V6 Mustangs have had problems with that one. You can google it and see.
I have a Screamin Demon coil and Granatelli MPG/Plus wires which are 0 ohms resistance. Car had original stock parts at 200k miles so I replaced them for insurance before my dyno run and everything worked fantastic. And also, I use Autolite Copper Core Resister Plugs. Just a FYI~
