Secondary air pump removal

Can the secondary air pump be removed in a way so that it does not throw the P0411 CODE and the check engine light stays off ? :icon_playingball:

You mean you have a 3.8 right? Sorry but our year is a 3.8 not a 3.7 and i think you mean ECU not ECC. And to accurately answer your question,no you cannot. I even tried writing my own tune for a similar motor that didn't have a smog pump and it didn't work. And if you own a 99 stang then yes you do have a smog pump unless it was completely taken off. Look under your front bumper passenger side right by the wheel well. You'll see a little rubber cup lookin thing, that sir would be your pump.
