im thinking about putting in a t-loc can any one tell me what its gonna do to my cornering i mean am i gonna be sliding every turn thanks for the help

do you know what a tlok is and what it does?

it goes IN your rear end...it makes BOTH tires spin at the same time..of all things you will LAUNCH better at turns when you gun it. Its your suspension that determines your cornering

i know what it does but if it gives both tires equal power that means they will both be spinning at the same speed so in a turn one would be dragging so im wondering if this is gonna cause me to slide more

NO....bc they spin together they PUSH YOU FORWARD. The fact that right now you have ONE tire spin and if you make a turn and only ONE tire spins you will FISH TAIL to one side...the tlok will push you FORWARD more than anything...suspension prevents you from sliding now a tlok

the T-lok acts as an open differential under normal driving conditions and allows the inside tire to rotate faster than the outside tire which prevents wheelhop through turns and or axle slide (fishtail) from complete loss of traction due to same speed wheel rotation which is the case in a spool or locker rear.

when 1 wheel loses traction the lsd or T-lok under inertia compresses the clutch packs allowing transfer of power to the opposite wheel. the amount of power varies and is dependent upon the speed of the tire with lost traction

a t-lok or LSD does not push you through a turn nor does it act any different than the stock open differential under normal driving.

the suspension has nothing to do with it

no it doesn't.

i have fishtailed alot of cars with stock soft suspension and stiff aftermarket suspension

stiff suspension and an LSD is far more prone to fishtailing than a completely stock open diff setup,but lockers and lsd's will allow fishtailing much better than an open diff. suspension really has nothing to do with it as long as you have an engine that can overpower tire to pavement traction

they are hard to install properly.

get a richmond gear install kit and have a reputable tranny/gear shop do the install, and don't beat on the rear right after. follow a proper break-in procedure
