Default Would a drive shaft from a cobra fit the V6?

I have a friend who is selling an aluminum drive shaft he had in his cobra, would this work in the V6? If I recall correctly the Tranny's are different so I know the yoke won't work, but could I take the factory yoke off of mine and use the drive shaft?

Ok, even though your a pain in the *** I will help ya.

All 96-01 Cobra Driveshafts will fit, like you said you will need to use your yoke.

03/04 Cobra driveshafts will not fit because they are shorter and have a different pinion flange that would need to be changed. In T56 swaps, yes this is the driveshaft to use.

All 96-04 V6 and GT driveshafts are interchangeable.

It isn't the fact that it came from a cobra that makes it better, it is the fact that it is made out of aluminum.

^ Correct....but unless your putting out really high power using one is kinda over kill. Yes, the loss of weight (rotating mass) will lower your E.T. but on a stock, or close to stock V6 its not worth it IMO.

Just grab an Aerostar Aluminum driveshaft, they are everywhere and cheap as hell.

DONE!
