Default Looking at a '00 Auto...

Hey guys, sorry my first post is here, but I sort of need information quick. My girlfriend is looking at '00 3.8L V6 Auto 114k tomorrow for $3,500 and I need to know a little about these cars. I know the motors are great is well maintained, an ex-girlfriend of mine had a '00 manual 3.8L and had zero issues with it to the day she sold it (120k+). What I don't know is the reputation of the automatics...

Some about the car; it's owned by an elderly couple (friend of her family, now widowed) and is probably mint condition. I'll know tomorrow is it's had any major work done, but I know they kept it well maintained and only let one mechanic work on it. I do believe they're the original owners. Her husband past and it's time to unload the vehicles.

She will sell it to us for $3,500. Do you guys think I would have any issues with this car? I'd rather buy a car I know everything about than nothing, but I'll let you guys give your opinions and suggestions since you know a lot more than me! Thanks for any advice, we're buying *something* for her this week!

My 01 is still going and it's an automatic with 140k miles or so.

id judge it by seeing it in person. if it appears to be well maintained and the lady tells you stuff about it that seems good then go for it. the car should still have a ton of life left in it

My 2000 V6 Auto has 176K and has had Mobil 1 since new, runs and drives much like new. No issues with anything.

Well this is good news guys! I'm pretty sure it's in great shape, as it was owned by the elderly couple and I know they only trusted one person to work on it its whole life. I just got news that someone else was looking at it before I'll be back in town, I hope it's still available when I get back!
