Question Grinding and Squealing

For starters I have a 99 mustang v6 3.8 5 speed.
So I was driving and everything was fine. I went over a speed bump going maybe 5 ish mph. And all the sudden all hell broke loose under the hood. Dont know WTF happened but there was an intense grinding sound I put the clutch in and the grinding stopped by the squealing sound was there. WTF over. Ever since then from the moment it kicks over its grinding and squealing Clutch in grinding stops but still squealing real bad.

I already:
*Checked all belts and hoses
*flushed transmission fluid
*checked clutch cable
*verified the sound is coming from the back of the motor or top of the transmission

Ive done a little research and common cases it is the TOB (throw out bearing). I am pretty sure I can replace it (Never done transmission work)

My question is, Is there something else I should try first and/or replace while doing the TOB. I dont wanna have to do it twice. you know. Thanks for any input.

There is an inspection plate on the manual tranny under the car. Two or three screws and it you get a good view of the TOB, Fork, and Plate. If it's as bad as you say you should be able to see something messed up.

You could also have someone in the car (with the car off, wheels chocked, and the parking brake on) shifting the gears while you check it out. You'll see it if it is as bad as you describe.
