Default Urgently need assistence with 01 3.8l drivers side header...

I was driving two days ago, and right when I shifted it all of a sudden got ungodly loud. So I pulled over and the drivers side header pipe had broken at the weld where the coupler is that goes to the main pipe. I need to get a new header on it asap, like tomorrow. But I need to know if getting a new one is my only option. I've had no luck with junkyards or any place that sells used parts. They just don't have them. So anyone know a place in Dallas that would have one, I don't really care about quality, as long as it fits and last 2-3 years.

I've heard of people welding it back together...or you can always go aftermarket as well.

I got it welded up, It's all after market past the headers too, so I saw no point in replacing all of it. Thanks!

This is a common problem with the 99+'s. The A/C drips onto the manifold causing it to break. You can do two things. Get 94-98 headers that flow better and dont break, or jerry-rig a pipe past the headers so the A/C doesnt leak on it anymore.

The a/c drips onto the passenger side on mine. The exhaust guy said that it was probably from a combination of age and from the pipe hitting speed bumps.
