will 2003 cobra wheels fit?

245/45/17 tires will "work" but they are the smallest size that you can put on 9s and the side walls will ear faster. 275/40/17s are too large and will reduce mpg and tend to look too wide. 255/40/17 seems to be the optimal size for 17 x 9 rims.

^It doesn't look horrible. I once saw 274/40/17's on an 8" rim and even that wasn't the worst I've seen. Of course 10" would be better, but it will work out just fine on a 9", even long term, which is what I've been doing. And still getting 30 mpg mixed city/highway every tank

well, i have the 17x8's already, from a 96 cobra, but i wondered about the 2003 cobra IRS have a funky offset. thanks for the info that they will work. I will buy some now.
i have 275/40/17 on the rear of my 17x8's now, and they look allright. i wondered if they would be too large for a 17x9 front tire, but i may run the 255 or 245 in front.
