Thanks for responding. This is starting to baffle me. I'll see if I can get back out there and take a quick video. I'm on the west side of Indy.

Cool...starting in Jan I will be on the NW side everyday going to Lincoln Tech. After we see how bad this surging is maybe you should bring it my way so I can get a closer look at it. I live over in New Castle, about 40 miles from 465 right off 70E.

cool...I'll post a video in the morning and you can take a look at it and let me know what you think. I'm sure it's something simple. I just don't know what it is. Thanks again!

This sounds similar to a problem i had. Check the part F6ZF-12B577-AA. Mine went bad and my RPMs surged when the A/C was on. Once, the engine shut off cause the RPMs were excessive.

Default I had the same problem

I had the same problem when I would turn on a/c in summer and defrost, heat on vent or mix in the winter but in floor it didn't surge. I changed the IAC and EGR valves no go, changed the serpentine belt with no change. So I went to a Ford dealer and had the a/c charged with no change. So my last step was to change the Compressor Clutch Cycling Switch and wala my problem is gone. Now I did have a tech say I can change it without losing refrigerant not the case. Hope it helps anyone who was going nuts like I was.
