Exclamation 2002 5spd vibration issue. U joint? Trans. Mount? Driveshaft?

I just purchased a 2002 3.8L 5spd. When I'm changing gears as I release the clutch. I get a vibration and shudder noise what feels like from tranny just as it transfers power. The other issue is at 40-60mph in 4th or 5th cruising its got a shudder sound and vibration that matches transmission speed. If I push in clutch or let off gas it stops. Also stops above 60mph. Could this be universal joints? I got under car transmission mounts seem ok. Any info or guidance is appreciated

Drive shaft is probably unbalanced. If it shudders as you are letting off of the clutch and giving it gas, the clutch is probably going or the flywheel is also unbalanced. Might have friction material from the clutch built up on it.

If you push the clutch in and it stops, it's not the U joints or driveshaft being out of balance.

Could be flywheel related. FYI: Those are also internally balanced motors, so if anything does build up or wear funny on the zero balance flywheel, it would shake.

Yea rides smooth when I push clutch in at any speed so I assume it's tranny related then

Did you ever figure out what the problem was? I'm having the exact same issue with my 1999 3.8 Mustang. Ive been trying to figure this out for a while now. When you drive in reverse, was there a loud noise? I took a video of this noise too:

Oh! One other thing. I had my clutch and flywheel replaced with Spec Stage 1 units. Also, I had my tranny's internals inspected, and the only thing that needed to be replaced were the bearings, which I subsequently had replaced. So I doubt the issue is with the clutch/flywheel/tranny. Heres the link to my original post on AllFordMustangs.com:

Thanks in Advance! And sorry for jacking your thread!
