Mach 460 Sound Questions!
Ok so i have a 2001 V6 Mustang with the Mach 460 sound system. The factory radio isnt in the car and i am wondering wether i should just try to buy the factory radio or completely redo the sound system with an aftermarket head unit, speaker, and amp. Please give me your advice and opinion.

Putting in the Mach 460 head unit would be easiest. If you wanna know how to upgrade to the Mach 1000 I have a write up in the tech section that tells you just how to do that. The whole upgrade takes all of 30-45 minutes if you have all the tools ready. Most of that time is spent doing the splices.
Having owned the Mach 460 in my Cobra and upgrading to the Mach 1000 and having owned aftermarket, the Mach 460/1000 is much better than most of your common aftermarket components. To get above the quality of the 1000 you'd have to invest more than $1000 in amps, speakers, wire, and a stereo.
The only downside to the Mach 1000 can be separation between multiple fast bass hits, but that takes a trained ear to hear, other than that it's amazing.
