Default Replacing Ball Joint and Lower Tie Rod

Just purchased a new ball joint and lower tie rod end, to hopefully alleviate some of my car's squeaking and sloppy steering. I know I will need a special tool to take out the ball joint...but how hard is it to replace these?

Also, I will be buying another ball joint/lower tie rod for the other side once I get payed again. Should I just wait and do them both at the same time, or is it alright to do them one at a time?

Do them both at the same time. You may need to get a alignment done afterwards.

may -> will. Messing with the tie rods always requires an alignment. You may get it close, but you'll never get it correct. Your tires can wear pretty quickly with an incorrectly alignment. Do both sides at the same time and get it aligned once. Good luck...
