While installing a new camshaft position sensor, I noticed my throttle cabble was really loose and didn't see any adjustments... I was just wondering if there all supposed to be like this and is there any way to make it a little tighter.. it really does effect my throttle response getting on the freeway...I will literly floor it and my rpms stay the same and my speed slowly increases then out of no where it will accelerate like a rocket thanks for anu help or suggestions

Are you 5 speed or auto? What you described doesnt sound like a loose throttle cable to me. Sounds like something wrong with the trans.

Sadly its an auto ... Until spring but the trans was rebuilt less then over a year ago before I bought it.. you can easily lift the throttle cable off of the body and I know that just can't be right

Sounds like the engine bogging down. If the cable was loose then it wouldn't just magically tighten up after being floored a moment.

I had a similar issue, well kind of, My pedal wouldnt go down all the way, and it turned out the sleeve on my cruise control had pulled out....just now thinking about this it could not possibly be this, but oh well :P
