pros and cons bolt ons
is it worth the money for a bigger throttle body? or a spacer? and does anyone know where i could get a back axle and differential with 3.75 or 4.10 gears? theres a lot i want to do to my mustang but need some help.

Actually you can get too big a TB and hurt performance. Mine's a 70mm but each car/engine will have a different thresh hold.
|
waste of money.
|
why is it a waste of money and do you lke the 70? feel any different when you put it on?
|
It was on it when I found it. Compared to a stock V6 ya I'd say it's a lot different. Theres other things been done and I wouldn't rule out a tune either but Im sure it helped with response. Thing will waste tires and get to 60 in no time.

Pros: "bragging rights" pertaining to having "mods"
Cons: Lots of money invest for little to no real gains, examples: CAI - 2-5 rwhp Exhaust - 3-7 rwhp Pullies - 2-5 rwhp TB - 0 rwhp (ported intake 1-2 rwhp) Tuner - 3-7 rwhp Intake spacer - 2-4 rwhp Now compare that to these: Supercharger - 8-12 rwhp per PSI N2O - 8-10 rwhp per 10lbs of boost Heads/Cam/Intake swap - 25-75 rwhp (depends on the setup taken) Keep in mind that when I give 2-5 rwhp on a cold air intake, that's the range for variation, you need to take the median of around 3.5 to get a real idea as to where you'll land. In short 2 rwhp is about the minimum gain, and 5 is the darn near the best. |
No but they are pretty easy. About an hour. American Muscle used to have a install video too to walk you through it.
This is the closest to my CAI..it's a MAC too. http://www.macperformance.com/store/...Product_ID=243 |
