Default shakey steering wheel

so i changed my brakes two days ago and when i drove home from the garage everything was fine. when i step on the brakes slowing down at highway speeds, my steering wheel shakes back and forth left to right and i feel like im going over small bumps.

i took out my old, compressed the pistons. put the new ones on and put the calipers back on and tightened them. did i miss something.

i just had my rotors replaced 2 years ago so is there any way i could have messed them up when i replaced the brake pads?

Did you have your rotors turned/shaved and check for anything wrong with them like cracking?

Also, did you bed your new brake pads in?

i dont know what any of those 3years things mean. the steps i took were

take off the wheel
loosen and remove top caliper.
remove old brake pads
compress caliper pistons
goo non-rotor-contacting brake pad side.
re-attach caliper, tighten
reattach wheel.
go.

You should have taken the rotors to any auto parts store or machine shop and had the rotors turned (Shaved) and checked to be sure they were not cracked.

Then after that you bed the new pads in.

Bedding in is a process of soft to hard stops to break in the pads and to transfer a thin contact layer onto the rotor from the pad to help bite better.
