I would say the best thing to do is go an check it out. if it doesnt look like it has been taken care of, then it most likely hasnt been. then you will have to decide if the car is worth it if you run into problems and have to fix it or get it fixed later. like someone suggested, maybe you can fix it up a little for a quick flip and make a little money off of it.

Ask him if you can pay using a check drawn on a Chinese bank through Yemen and see if he agrees

Double in Cali? I don't think so, I see gt's at 6k all the time here, I see Cobra's and Mach's for 8-10k all the time. I'm even seeing 04 Cobras in the 15k 16 range. Paying 6 or 7k for a v6 is absurd and WAYYYY overpriced. For 6k, it better be super low mileage and Clean inside and out with no issues whatsoever.

Car's might be asking that much, but they aren't getting it. I had my fully decked out V6 Roush (with extras) listed for over a year at $6000. Nothing but tire kickers. Didn't even get real interest at $5000.

Exactly, the market is crap, and people are dumping vehicles these days for gas savers. At over 4 bucks a gallon, you can see why. I can't believe no bites for 5k tho, insulting but I see why.
