It seems like everyone that's used the FRPP 7.5 t-lok is either an auto or drags on it. I'm not looking to consistently drag race it, maybe once in a while, but my main goal is autocrossing. So if I put a nice install kit on it do you guys really think it'll break on me?

hmmm.... here's what i've gathered...from ppl online (im doing the same basic setup. so i've been searching)

"I have the 7.5 in my car still with my 351w and I haven't broken it yet and I wouldn't say I was being easy on it"

"from what ive heard about the 7.5's in the newer v6's is that 300-350 rwhp is about their limit. but ive heard people busting it with 215 rwhp, and ive heard people still launching with 350+"

"I've heard a few different replies anytime I ask what the horsepower/torque limit is on the Ford Racing 7.5" Posi-Trac. I've heard everything from "Don't go over 300hp with one," to "Don't even bother with one, you'll be lucky to keep 250hp in one", and I've also talked to a guy who had a supercharged 2000 V6 making 450 at the crank on the 7.5" rear."

"As long as you don't beat it often at the track even a factory 7.5 rear will be fine. With prolly 10 total times to the track from 301rwhp-436rwhp never had an issue. Still on 7.5 rear with just 3.73 and posi added, no upgraded parts yet. "

so there you have it.... hope it helps.

mine is scheduled to be installed so i have high hopes that the 7.5 w/ 4.10s will hold up.

oh yeah.... i also think that a TC or high stalls will be a big factor too. if you're launching at 3k, the rearend will be affected.

Ya I've heard about the same. Some say yes some say no. I hate it when people are like this on a part. Makes me worried.......

I think I'll go for it and just make sure I don't beat on it too hard so it doesn't break, of course if it does ill be out of 500 dollars...... so maybe its worth the extra 200 for an auburn.

Where did you get yours Dr. Le?

stangmod = t-lok (ford) and master bearing kit (motive) (delivered)

dallasmustang = 4.10s (ford) (still in transit...still waiting)

scheduled w/ GTR in rancho, CA for installation.
