I'm almost positive I had to take the wheel off to get to the passenger side, but it's been awhile since I've owned a Mustang. The driver side was easy compared to the passenger. Did you at least find the o2 sensor, you may need a flashlight!!

P.S Now that I think about it, I don't think you have to take the tire off, you should be able to get to it, maybe someone else will chime in who has done it recently.

Sometimes shops will wanto/have to remove a part to gain better access but I have seen many time them get a hellashis grip on it with that special O2 wrench that increase it grip as you put force on it. Kinda reminds me of a pipe wrench as it can get a real tight grip. I have used an assortment of flexible extension pieces snapped into an impact wrench too. It can be a pain in the ***. If you guys remember back when i did my 4 sensors, that one took me 3 weeks to get off because of my limited amount of person tools.

I just used a large adjustable wrench from the bottom of the car. I went from the left side of the passenger pipe.

Yep, a wrench and the correct angle from under the car worked for me. It can be a bit of a pain.
