Default Brake Caliper Bolt Problems

Hi,

My uncle has an '01 with the V6. He asked me to perform a break job on it. As i was taking the bolts out that hold on the caliper the top one will not back out. It seems who ever did these before messed up the threads. To fix this do i need to get a new bracket or is there bolt guides that go in these that can just be switched out for new ones.

thanks!

i just did my front brakes on a 2001 mustang and when taking off the caliper bolts you have to hold the pin head with a wrench or small vise grips or it will keep turning its right in front of the bracket and rubber boot .you will see that pin head turn if you dont hold it down.good luck

+ 1 on the slide pin...
make sure the slide pins can move freely or you will get uneven brake pad wear.
