Default A/C Line ( Vacuum Line/Tube)?? HELP!!! HOT SEASON!!

Name of auto part? My A/c is only coming out through my upper vents (defroster). I need to connect the vacuum line (tube) that disconnected since they are fragile. What would the auto part be called at autozone/napa, etc..? They no longer sell these parts at the dealership since the vehicles a bit older.

Here's a picture of where it snapped.. (pictures are from another thread)

HELP, PLEASE!! The thin line is where it snapped and fell off, over time.. A/C is only coming out of the upper vents due to this line being disconnected. What is it called at the auto parts store, or, where can I find a line/tube to reconnect it?

It's just vacuum line. Ford chose to use hard plastic sections. You can replace it with rubber line.

I agree with belairbrian you can use rubber line for vacuum lines and then wrap it in wire split loom to protect it from heat and fluids just measure the barbs and get the appropriate inside diameter hose

Mine did the same thing. I went to AutoZone and bought this and it worked perfectly -

Good luck,

OMG! I literally have spent the last 2 days trying to find an answer to this problem! Autozone even told me straight up they had no idea what that part was, and I couldnt find it ANYWHERE in ANY catalog or forum...So THANK YOU! I just ordered that piping and the covering, will finally have A/C in my 'Stang.

THANK YOU!

Default Thanks

Thank you for the explanation and pictures of the vacuum line. This was exactly what was wrong and I fixed it for 2.00.
