Default Buy the mustang?

Hi,

I have recently checked out a 1997 3.8l v6 mustang with over 150k miles on it.

The car seems to be in a decent condition except for a slight jerk when closing the passenger side door. I have very little idea about cars and was wondering if this was a sign of an accident.

Also, please let me know whether the 1997 model is reliable even in 2013 and what I should check for when buying the car.

Please note: I am a student in Dubai( temp goes to around 50 degree Celsius in summers ) and cannot spent much on repairs if any.

94-97 3.8 are notorious for blowing head gaskets. If your set on getting a mustang either find a GT or look for a 99 and up V6. I'm not sure how well the head gaskets could handle those kind of temps on a daily basis.
