I work at Advance Auto, we've got a listing for a reman Pro-King. 5Spd Borg Warner T5 WC, Speedo-Aqua , ATF used. For $969. I don't have an availablity at my store, but one close to you might. Not sure about the warranty on it. But if you didn't want to get this, maybe you can use it for price matching, if this is one of the cheaper ones you'll find?

The part number is T5-FG. Sale price is $969.00 and the list price on it is $1,211.25.

Hope this at least helps you to find one cheaper. Price matching is pretty effective. If they want your business, they'll match the price, if it doesn't take too much away from what they'll be making off it.

I don't know where in Mass you live. But ,i checked in Mass. used tranny auto, 5 spd with warranty sell from $150 -$450. Hope that helped. Good luck

Ehhh, maybe, used tranny is a gamble. Many times there are disclaimers for it (as-is) which means you crap-shoot on whether or not the synchros are gonna need replacing or not.

Rebuilt at least you have some warranty and some piece of mind of once it's in, you're done with it.
