Recently got a Mallory Ignition Control Module. Looked everywhere. Can't seem to find how to put it in. It already has a Motorcraft TFI. The ends of the new one will not fit the new one. My brother was the one who bought it. He said it needed it... but he says the Motorcraft TFI isn't the same as the new one because of the ends not being the same.

Do you have a part number for the Mallory vs the Ford part so we know which ones you have? What is the reason you are switching?

This is what I believe to be the TFI. From what I have read from places like https://mustangforums.com/forum/5-0l...ere-is-it.html it is the black box on the inside of the passenger side fender under the intake tube. The new one, as you can see, looks nothing like the old one... a little confused and I am doing this because I was told it would increase my horsepower.

On the pics. I cannot really tell with the 1st pic that you have. but the mallory is for a V8 ford car with a disty. my 1st attachment is for the ford V6, and the 2nd is for a ford V8. Hope that helped
