So the car I bought has a "BOMZ Racing" cold air intake and knowing the guy who I bought it from the filter hasn't been change in about 4 years and shows it :( I can only find really old posts about this brand and I can't find them through a quick google. Anyone have a suggestion on what I should use as a replacement filter? Can I use any filter that has the same dimensions? I would prefer to use KN just so I can reuse the filter and I don't mind the extra work or cleaning it properly.

Why not just clean the one on it?

yea, what he said. Or any same diameter filter will work.

It is really dirty, I wasn't joking about the guy before not cleaning for a long time. I guess I will try cleaning and start looking for a replacement.
Should I clean it like I would my k&n filter. Wash dry oil?

Clean the filter with a K&N recharge kit or if it's too badly gone or can't be cleaned (which is a problem with the Bomz) then buy a K&N filter (or other) with the same diameter opening for the tube.
